Travel Information
We recommend flying into the Golden Triangle Regional (GTR) airport in Columbus, Mississippi. It is a small airport with four flights per day arriving at about 9 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m., and 8:30 p.m. central time, depending on weather and other factors, from Atlanta. This airport is about 15 miles from Starkville, and there is a free shuttle bus that takes you directly to the conference hotel. There is also an airport in Jackson, Mississippi (about 110 miles or 1 hr 45 mins away from Starkville). It has direct flights from Dallas, Washington, DC, and Charlotte on American Airlines, Houston and Chicago on United, and Atlanta on Delta. This would require renting a car. Other “nearby” airports are Tupelo (1 hr away Contour airlines), Birmingham (2.5 hours away Southwest airlines, among others) and Memphis (2 hr 45 mins away Southwest airlines, among others).

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Courtyard Starkville MSU at the Mill Conference Center (100 Mercantile Street) for $139/night. The last day to book is Friday, February 21, 2020.
